Join The Mighty Food Waste Mission to get Wales to number 1
When it comes recycling, Wales is well ahead of the game. Our mighty nation is already ranked third globally. Food waste recycling is where we can make the mightiest difference!
Wales Recycles is calling on children aged 8 to 11 to help create a more sustainable future where we waste less and recycle more. Take part in The Mighty Food Waste Mission this autumn, running during Recycle Week (16-22 October 2023) until the end of November.
Explore our range of fun 20-30-minute classroom activities, all aligned with the Curriculum for Wales and can be used as part of your Eco Schools evidence.
Step 1: Deliver the mission briefing: Food waste is creating green energy – and we, as active citizens, can help! (Humanities)
Step 2: Choose your mission! Complete one or more of the three classroom activities.
Step 3: Homework competition – design a sticker for your food waste caddy (order free blank stickers for your pupils using the form below).
